Lazy Sundays | Chapter 3
The past few months I’ve been a little distant, but I’m happy to say I’m finally back and I mean it this time. In April I had to focus on my final exams, and then at the end of the month I moved out of a house. I’ll explain more later about moving out, but I’m excited to start this new chapter in my life. This post will be focused on my April favourites, as I found a bunch of new products I want to share with you.
QUOTE OF THE MONTH
As I said earlier, I’ve taken a step back from blogging in the past month or so. I feel like I haven’t chatted with any of you in a long time so I wanted to update you all.
In between stressing about assignments and finals, I’ve been thinking up new blog posts. I won’t be sharing them all with you now, but if you’re subscribed you won’t miss out. My goal for the summer is to post twice a week (Sunday and Wednesday).
On top of getting back to blogging, I’ve officially moved into my new apartment for my final year of university. For the past 3 years I was living with amazing roommates but they all graduate this year (yay for them!) and I’m staying back for a 5th year. It’s weird moving out and tackling my last year of university without roommates. I’ve spent my whole university life living with other people / having my friends close by so I’ll probably miss being able to go home and just vent to whoever was sitting on the couch. But I’m excited to decorate an entire apartment, and I’ve always been super independent so living on my own has always appealed to me.
May is the month for me to work towards a healthier me. I’ll have an entire blog post (maybe two) about this, but I wanted to give you all a little sneak peek. Tomorrow I’m meeting with a trainer so he’ll be able to help me get active again. As for my eating, I’ve taken a new motto of “everything in moderation”. I don’t want to put my mind and body through dieting again mainly because the results I see are temporary, and there is too little time in life to beat yourself up for having a cookie. Instead I’m still eating what I want but I’m trying to throw in more fruit and veggies.
PRODUCTS I’VE BEEN LOVING
CONAIR 3Q HAIR DRYER
My whole life I’ve shared a hair dryer among my sisters. I typically took showers at night and went to bed with my hair wet, so I rarely used a hair dryer. Over the past year I’ve been waking up earlier and I’ve found that I want to take showers in the morning. Conair was kind enough to gift this hair dryer to me. It’s super light weight, the shape of the handle makes it really easy to hold, and the power behind this dryer has my thick hair dried in minutes when I section off my hair. For more information about this hair dryer check out Conair’s website.
NIU BODY MAKEUP REMOVING WIPES
I found this Canadian company on Instagram. Seriously check out their feed, very summery. Anyways, they reached out and gave me a 10% off coupon code if I wanted to place an order. So no this wasn’t gifted, but they’re Canadian and I don’t mind supporting local shops 🙂
I wasn’t sure if I wanted to place an order because it seemed kind of silly paying $15 for 25 pads because I was worried I would be using more than one pad to remove my makeup. BUT I WAS WRONG. I only need one pad to remove my entire face. It doesn’t remove all of my mascara, but I can handle that. The best part about this makeup remover is that it ensures I’ll wash my face afterwards because of the oilly feeling left on my face. I’ve noticed my skin has been clearing up, but it could be the fact that I’ve been washing my face more frequently.
WHAT’S IN MY SHOPPING BAG*
I’ve been trying to save my money, so there’s a lot on this list. Let me know if you’ve tried out any of the makeup products! The majority is from Tarte, but I’ve been loving their products lately.
